Professional Profile
About Suzanne
With fifteen years of
combined management and analytical experience, Suzanne has demonstrated
consistent success in start-ups as well as in corporate environments,
managing both operational and systems related projects.
Suzanne began her career in the entertainment industry as a
production assistant and production coordinator, then was quickly embraced for
her sharp analytical skills and was hired as the controller for the special
effects house, Stetson Visual Services, Inc., where the company produced
visual effects for big budget features such as TOTAL RECALL, DICK TRACY, and
BARTON FINK, among many other films, as well as several in-house commercial
projects produced for television. Moving on to work with the major
studios, Suzanne worked her way through the formal ranks of production
accounting where she developed a solid foundation in cost analysis. She
built an extensive résumé working with the production companies of major
studios as well as independent production companies. Included among them
are Columbia Pictures and Castle Rock Entertainment, on such films including
A FEW GOOD MEN, DRACULA: DEAD AND LOVING IT, and the Warner Brothers feature,
CONTACT.
In the mid-nineties, Suzanne co-founded an independent film
production company, Holiday in the Sun Productions, where she produced her first, multi-award winning short
film, BANZAI BOYS. As the general partner of an
independent production company, she held direct responsibility for the
business and production functions, including P&L, business development,
production operations, marketing and distribution. She expanded the production company to include consulting
services after she recognized a consistent need by many independent filmmakers for
coaching in business management, cost analysis and financing
requirements. Suzanne has since become an expert in writing business
plans for film production companies as well as start-up companies.
In 2000, Suzanne
joined a team of entertainment industry
specialists at Creative Planet to define user requirements for the
creation and implementation of new technology designed to facilitate the
procurement processes for motion picture production. This
opportunity led to further experience
developing
Business-to-Business web-enabled applications for the motion picture industry,
with emphasis in production operations.
Utilizing her entertainment industry background, Suzanne
has consulted with producers, production companies, consulting firms, research
firms, and individual companies on business management, analysis, and on the
implementation of new technology. Suzanne is also
recognized for her acumen in performing business process analysis, writing
requirements documents, and conducting impact and risk analysis.
Suzanne is always seeking new opportunities where she can apply her managerial and
analytical experience and expertise. She is a natural leader who understands the
dynamics of combining client, technological, and business requirements, who
earns 100% staff support, and who is as career-committed as it takes to
achieve total success.
Education background: Suzanne graduated with a Bachelor of Business
Administration degree from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles,
and then earned her M.B.A. from Simmons College School of Management
in Boston.
